Marlene is a Berlin based artist and photographer.
Her work deals with the universal connection between humankind and nature and the variety of its traces and effects. Searching for archetypical motivs she explores different kind of textures and materials and the specifics of their character and narration.
Since 2016 she organizes and curates the project space SOX at the Oranienstraße, Berlin together with Manuel Kirsch and Björn Streeck. From 2010 to 2016 she studied painting at the fine art department at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee in the class of Prof. Hanns Schimansky and as a Meisterschülerin of Prof. Friederike Feldmann. From 2018 to 2021 she studied photography at
Lette Verein Berlin.
